I am a physicist with special interests in Materials Science and in Mechatronics.

I have a Diploma di Laurea in Physics (Solid State), earned in Milan with a thesis on thermally actuated Shape Memory Alloys.

I also hold a Specializzazione in Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (equivalent to an MSc) obtained in Milan with a thesis on electrically actuated Shape Memory Alloys.

Finally, as far as academic qualifications go, I have a PhD in Mechatronics from the University of Leeds with a thesis on piezoelectric actuators.
